Police have arrested 92 people in eight European countries who allegedly participated in a child
pornography network that sold videos to 2,500 customers.
An analyst for Europol, Menno Hagemeijer, said the customers came from many different countries and all walks of life.
"We have identified schoolteachers, swimming instructors, lawyers, IT specialists," he said. [Link]
All walks of life? Really? I was expecting him to say, "All 2,500 of them are priests. Every last one of them."
I'm not quite convinced that child porn offenders come from "all walks of life," so let 's look at a few other cases.

Perhaps "all walks of life" is a euphemism. Perhaps what they really mean to say is, "I know what you're thinking, but they weren't all priests."
